Women Chefs & Restaurateurs Accepting Applications For Mentorship Program

The professional association of Women Chefs & Restaurateurs (WCR) is currently accepting applications for participation in its mentorship program. Applications are available online now through September 15.

In founding Women Chefs and Restaurateurs, Barbara Tropp took her role as teacher and mentor to a very broad group of women. WCR would like to invite its members to follow the trail blazed by Barbara and participate in WCR's Mentorship Program.

The program is designed to match the career objectives of a mentee with the professional expertise of a mentor. Mentees are required to be a member of WCR for at least two years. Mentors must be a WCR member for at least two years or have a minimum of five years' industry experience.

The deadline for participating in this year's program is September 15. To review complete eligibility requirements, please visit WCR's web site at www.womenchefs.org.

WCR was founded in 1993 by eight prominent female chefs and restaurateurs, with a mission of promoting the education and advancement of women in the restaurant industry, and the betterment of the industry as a whole. WCR's membership of more than 2,000 professionals represents all sectors of the industry, from culinary students to restaurant owners.<
