2007 National Conference Focuses on Cutting-Edge Industry Issues
(Louisville, Ky...October 15, 2007) More than 300 culinary professionals from across the U.S. will address the latest industry trends at Women Chefs & Restaurateurs' (WCR) 2007 National Conference taking place November 3 - 5, in Newport, R.I. Entitled Back...for the Future! Traditional Foodways Inspiring a Healthier Tomorrow, this year's conference will focus on how traditional food practices can contribute to a healthier future for the industry and the public.
WHAT:
Culinary experts share the latest in educational sessions and master classes on such topics as buying local foods, promoting sustainability, transforming school lunch, farming heritage animal breeds, producing artisanal foods, fostering excellent service, pairing dessert wines, stemming climate change, publishing a book, farming biodynamic wines and much more. WCR's conference also features the annual Women Who Inspire Dinner and Awards Ceremony, a traditional clambake, special New England-based culinary tours, cookbook signings, an information fair and lots of delicious food.
