Worcester's Best Chef 2013 Crowned
Worcester's Best Chef was named at the 2013Competition held at Mechanics Hall to a sold out crowd of foodies and dozens of Worcester restaurants on January 28. EVO's Executive Chef & Co-Owner, Albert Maykel III is named Worcester's Best Chef after competing and winning the Iron Chef cook-off.
Chef Maykel also took home second place in both the Judge's Award and a People's Choice Award categories. Chef Maykel is the Executive Chef and Co-Owner of EVO Dining in Worcester, which recently took home Worcester Magazine's Best Overall Restaurant and Best Place to Be Seen, and Best Organic and Vegetarian/Vegan Foods in the past 12 months.
Chef Maykel served for the sold out crowd a Braised Beef Short Rib with a Cajun Sweet Potato Puree & a Thousand Island Demi-glace as well as a Tuscan Chicken Macaroni & Cheese Saut�ed Chicken with fire roasted tomatoes, bacon crumbles, scallions, a pesto cheese sauce, crumbled Chevre, crumb topping & an aged balsamic reduction.
