The Lost Weekend No. 2

METHOD:

For the Grains of Paradise Tincture:
Combine grains of paradise in a 16-ounce mason jar. Fill the jar almost to the top with whiskey and seal. Shake jar for 15 seconds. Let jar stand for 1 week, shaking a couple of times a day for 15 seconds. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a dropper bottle.

For the The Lost Weekend No. 2:
In a tumbler, combine Rye, vermouth, raspberry syrup, Grains of Paradise Tincture, and orange bitters. Add ice, stir, and strain into coupe. Express lemon peel and place it on rim of glass.
