Director Mark Stone of MM Management - Biography

President of MM Management, the entity that manages Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s business interests, Mark Stone has led a varied career, which began by earning a degree in history from Harvard in 1980. From there he worked for Mitsui & Co., where he founded and acted as treasurer of Hydro Management Resources, a subsidiary that finances, owns, and operates water treatment projects.

He followed that with a crack at marketing, acting as director of marketing and business development for Toray Marketing & Sales, where he stayed for eight years before becoming director of Aqua Design, an international water desalination company. Next, he served as president of consulting firm Petrus International, before settling on his mere three current occupations: MM Management, director of Northern Technologies International, and continuing to advise a variety of Japanese and other multinational corporations in areas including project finance and international investment strategy.
